The Presidential Election Series
Begins September 16th
This 7-part in-paper series first explains the process of electing a president – from caucuses to primary elections, to national conventions – and then examines the challenges of the presidency. The series concludes with a look at today’s candidates and issues in order to help students decide who they would choose as president.
A teacher guide, Election 2008, accompanies the series and contains thought-provoking supplemental activities using the newspaper. It includes a mock election kit for the purpose of holding a classroom or school election. Schools will have the option of participating in this historic National Student Mock Election by sending their results to the JFK library on October 30th. Details will be provided.
Mock election kit included – students participate in this historic election.
